Week: 05 Period: 17 UNIT 3: THIS IS TONY Lesson 3 (1, 2, 3) I. Objectives. - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Task 1: Listen and repeat. - Have Ss open their books page 22. - Produce the sound of the letter t in the word Tony and that of the letter y in the word Yes. - Place the large piece of paper with the sentences written on it on the board. - Teach the new words and phrases with Tony and yes. Is that Tony? Yes, it is. - Play the tape, and clap the rhythms. - Play the tape again. Task 2: Listen and write - Have Ss to look at sentence 1 and 2. - Ask Ss to guess and say the lines in the speech bubbles, then fill the bubbles. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Ask Ss to trade their answers. - Monitor the activity. - Call on some ss to perform the task at the front of the class. - Play the tape again and check answers. - Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus.
